Help wanted: NFI plans to hire 5,000 people nationwide

Camden-based supply chain solutions provider NFI is going on a hiring spree, it announced this week, adding 5,000 positions across its 350 logistics hubs due to continued demand.

The company said it has seen business continue to grow despite the COVID-19 pandemic, as consumers have increasingly relied on e-commerce for shopping.

“NFI continues to invest in our people and our workforce,” CEO Sid Brown said in a prepared statement. “The logistics industry has proven to be a stable and consistent career during unforeseen circumstances, and I’m looking forward to the continued opportunities for people to join our organization and experience our culture firsthand.”

The company has more than 50 million square feet of warehouse space nationwide, and is currently hiring in places as varied as the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania, Dallas-Fort Worth and Southern California.

NFI said it also has opportunities tied to its fleet of more than 4,500 tractors, as well as at corporate offices, maintenance facilities and elsewhere.
