Blue Foundry fills last slot at Chatham shopping center

Blue Foundry Bank will open a branch at Chatham Plaza, bringing the Chatham shopping center to 100% occupancy, according to real estate firm Levin Management Corp.

North Plainfield-based LMC said in a news release that Blue Foundry will fill the final spot in the 31,500-square-foot Main Street center, which it exclusively leases and manages.

Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty, senior leasing representative, and Kendal Hand-Freda, leasing representative, arranged the lease of the 2,100-square-foot space.

“As a New Jersey-based financial institution, Blue Foundry Bank is deeply invested in the communities it serves, making it a welcome addition for both this property and the borough,” Fernandez-Kelty said in a prepared statement. “Chatham Plaza has earned its position as a key local shopping destination, as evidenced by the quality of its tenants and, now, its full occupancy.”

Rutherford-based Blue Foundry has 17 branch locations in Bergen, Essex, Morris and Passaic counties.

“Blue Foundry Bank has always been rooted in the northern New Jersey community, so we are delighted to be opening our newest branch in Chatham,” CEO and President James D. Nesci said in a statement. “Like the hard-working individuals and businesses in Chatham, we value serving the needs of our customers and giving back to the community, and, therefore, look forward to becoming part of the fabric of this great town.”
