VoiceComm, a Pennsauken-based distributor of mobile accessories, has agreed to buy Tessco Technologies Inc.’s Retail Division assets, including the Ventev Mobile Device Accessories brand, it announced this week.
The deal with Maryland-based Tessco is scheduled to close in the fourth quarter, pending customary approvals and conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal will enhance VoiceComm’s ability to serve customers and vendors through the upcoming 5G upgrade cycle, the company said.
“VoiceComm’s acquisition of Tessco’s Retail Division will consolidate two leading companies’ best practices to create more value for our customers and vendors,” VoiceComm CEO Derek Weiss said in a prepared statement. “We’ve identified significant synergies, which will allow us to deliver upon our principles of ‘Innovation, Partnerships and Service’ in an even more powerful way, including integration of the high-quality Ventev brand into our product offering.”
Several Tessco executives will join VoiceComm, including Liz Robinson, who will become chief operating officer, overseeing the product, sales and marketing divisions.
