Calcagni & Kanefsky, a law firm based in Newark and New York, has added two attorneys to its roster of former federal and state prosecutors, it announced recently.
Mariellen Dugan, a former first assistant attorney general for New Jersey and former assistant U.S. attorney, as well as a former general counsel and chief compliance officer for New Jersey Resources Corp., will become a partner for the firm.
Richard Spatola, a former senior attorney and trust & compliance officer with IBM, will join CK as counsel.
“We’ve been carefully building our team of highly respected, skilled litigators as the demand for trial attorneys with our shared government background has increased,” Senior Partner Thomas Calcagni said in a prepared statement. “Mariellen and Rich embody the extraordinary experience, skillset and judgment for which clients come to us, and we couldn’t be more exciting having them aboard.”
Both Dugan and Spatola will work in the Newark office.
