CareOne opens senior facility in East Brunswick, with focus on those with memory impairments

Fort Lee-based health care company CareOne has opened its newest senior care facility, CareOne at East Brunswick Assisted Living, it announced this week.

The family-owned company said the 102-apartment facility, located at 664 Cranbury Road in East Brunswick, will serve older adults looking to transition into boutique-style apartment living. The facility includes two floors dedicated to those with memory impairments.

The facility team will be led by Christopher Slavicek, senior administrator.

“CareOne’s commitment to providing safe and engaging assisted living communities for seniors is reflected in each of our centers, and it is what CareOne is known for,” Elizabeth Straus, executive vice president, said in a prepared statement. “Our operational expertise has allowed us to open a new center in the midst of a global pandemic, while many have been forced to close their doors.

“We have been honored to welcome all the new residents who now call CareOne at East Brunswick Assisted Living home.”

Amenities include a physical therapy gym, “neighborhoods” for residents, a café and more, CareOne said. Team members are specially trained to work with residents who have memory impairments, including being Dementia Care Certified, it added.
