World Insurance Associates, based in Tinton Falls, continued its buying spree, announcing the acquisitions of two more agencies this week.
The agency acquired Fairways Insurance Inc. of Cinnaminson, as well as Danaher-Skewes & Associates Inc., based in Manassas, Virginia.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Fairways is a full-service agency serving clients throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
“We are thrilled to welcome Fairways to the WIA team,” Rich Eknoian, co-founder and CEO, said in a prepared statement. “Fairways has strong relationships with its base of tenured clients. We are excited to expand our presence throughout the mid-Atlantic through our new partnership with Fairways.”
Added Fairways President John Hanuscin: “Joining the WIA team will allow us to continue to put our clients first. Now, more than ever, we will be able to provide our clients with more product offerings and expanded service capabilities by leveraging WIA’s resources and network.”
Danaher-Skewes is one of Virginia’s largest independent insurance agencies, WIA noted, serving residents in the Alexandria, Manassas, Fredericksburg and surrounding areas.
Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla provided legal counsel to WIA on both deals, while TAG Consulting Services advised it on the Danaher-Skewes transaction. Capehart Scatchard provided legal counsel to Fairways, while Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis provided legal counsel to Danaher-Skewes and Sica Fletcher advised it.
