Jersey City-based sports betting and digital gaming company BetMGM has hired a new chief legal officer, it announced recently.
Andrew Hagopian will join the company from MGM Resorts International, where he was chief corporate counsel and instrumental in the collaboration with GVC Holdings that established BetMGM in 2018.
He will oversee the company’s legal and compliance departments and report to CEO Adam Greenblatt.
“BetMGM resides at the intersection of technology and gaming,” Hagopian said in a prepared statement. “This is an exciting opportunity to leverage my industry and transactional experience at a fast-moving company in a complex, regulated environment where a strong continued commitment to excellence in compliance will be essential to our success.”
