A Target store is replacing the now-shuttered Kmart at a Somers Point shopping center, according to real estate firm Soloff Realty and Development Inc.
The Pennsylvania-based firm brokered the transaction that will see a 101,000-square-foot store open at Somers Point Plaza, it said in a news release. Richard Soloff represented Philadelphia-based landlord Brahin Properties Inc., which will complete extensive renovations to the property for the new tenant.
Somers Point Plaza is a 279,026-square-foot shopping center with more than 25 stores on 35 acres, including Acme Markets, PetSmart and others.
The Kmart closed in 2019 during Sears Holdings’ closure of several New Jersey stores that it owned.
