Sax LLP names new co-leader of Trusts & Estates Practice

Accounting and advisory firm Sax LLP has added a new co-leader of its Trusts & Estates Practice, it announced recently.

Joy Matak brings more than 20 years of experience to her new role as a partner in the Tax Department and her Trusts & Estates leadership role, the Parsippany-based firm said in a news release.

“Joy is a strategic addition to our Trusts & Estates Practice, and will further strengthen and expand our depth of knowledge and the value we provide to generations of high net worth individuals and families,” Managing Partner Joseph A. Damiano said in a prepared statement. “Joy is known to be a dedicated and diligent lawyer who is committed to the highest level of client service, making her a great fit for Sax.”

Matak has an extensive background in tax strategies for families, business owners and high net worth individuals, Sax added. She was most recently a principal at a Top 20 accounting firm and co-leader of its Trusts & Estates Practice.

“I am thrilled to join the robust tax team at Sax LLP and leverage the firm’s established resources and offerings to provide seamless services to my clients,” she said in a statement. “Sax’s commitment and reputation for excellence and trusted advisory is very much aligned with my own values, and I look forward to propelling clients forward under the Sax banner with meaningful tax strategies that aid in their success.”
