BCT, which works with the government and private companies to provide insights about diversity and equity, said in a news release that Critical Measures also specializes in diversity consulting, focused on the health care field. The acquisition will enable BCT to broaden its offerings to focus on the intersection of two challenging issues: COVID-19 and system racism.

“COVID-19 has put an even greater spotlight on the inequities in health care,” BCT CEO Randal Pinkett said in a prepared statement. “New federal data reveals that African Americans and Latinos in the U.S. have been three times more likely to contract COVID-19 than white residents and nearly twice as likely to die from it.

“Critical Measures has a national-recognized reputation for being at the forefront of mitigating critical health care inequities.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
