Schindler Elevator Corp., the North American unit of the global elevator and escalator maker, has named a new director of inclusion and diversity for its U.S. operations, it announced.
Julia Hodum will be responsible for leading I&D initiatives across the U.S. arm of the company to advance its goals and drive programs and initiatives that create sustainable culture change, the Morristown-based company said in a news release.
“During our search, we were intentional about bringing int an I&D leader who aligns with our core values as a company and has the experience, perspective and drive to help us achieve our inclusion and diversity goals on a companywide basis,” Greg Ergenbright, president of U.S. operations, said in a prepared statement. “Julia’s experiences across the globe, working with country leaders, government officials and nongovernmental agencies, as well as her experience mentoring and spearheading a wide variety of I&D projects, make her a great fit as we continue to foster inclusion and diversity as part of our culture.”
Hodum most recently was with InterContinental Hotels Group, where she led regional strategies related to diversity and inclusion, as well as talent, for North and South America, the Philippines and China.
