Enterprise tech company names new CEO

Tangoe, a Parsippany-based enterprise technology and mobility company, has named a longtime technology executive as its CEO, it announced this week.

James Parker takes over effective immediately, the company said in a news release, with interim CEO Dave Hansen continuing to serve as chairman of Tangoe’s board. Parker will also join the board, the company noted.

“Finding the right leader for this transformative moment in history was an incredibly important undertaking,” Hansen said in a prepared statement. “James understands where we are as a company and, more importantly, our vision for the path forward as we continue to help customers navigate today’s business challenges.”

Before joining Tangoe, Parker was CEO and executive director for Masergy, a global network company. He has also held leadership roles with Tata Communications, CenturyLink and Microsoft.
