Kevin Shinkle, a veteran New Jersey journalist and corporate communications executive, has joined Devine + Partners as senior vice president and chief content officer, the communications firm announced recently.
Shinkle, who was an award-winning business editor at The Star-Ledger and global business editor for the Associated Press, was most recently chief communications officer for the Knights of Columbus. He also previously served as chief communications officer for Delta Air Lines.
At Philadelphia-based D+P, Shinkle will serve as chief content strategist, helping the firm continue to evolve its communications focus across multiple media channels.
“While Kevin has worked with us for the last five months, we are extremely pleased that he will now be part of our full-time D+P team,” CEO and President Jay Devine said in a prepared statement. “As you all know, over the course of the past few years, D+P has doubled down on content. Our announcement today reaffirms and strengthens that commitment, with the hiring of a well-respected and experienced content expert.”
