Bielat Santore announces pair of N.J. restaurant sales

Commercial real estate firm Bielat Santore & Co. announced the sales of two restaurants this week.

The Allenhurst-based restaurant and hospitality specialists said in news releases that Luca Trattoria in Oakland will be repurposed for medical office space, while the Rumson House in Rumson has been purchased as a real estate investment.

Luigi “Luca” Testino and his wife, Elizabeth Testino, the former owners of Luca Trattoria, are retiring after nearly 50 years in business at the 20 W. Oakland Ave. restaurant, Bielat Santore said. They intend to help their son operate the restaurant’s second location, in Warwick, New York.

The building will be converted into a CityMD urgent care medical clinic, the real estate firm noted.

Meanwhile, Rumson House, which was sold as part of a 1031 Exchange, will see Chef David Burke take over the day-to-day operations, Bielat Santore said. The property at Ridge Road and Avenue of Two Rivers will now be owned by an undisclosed buyer who runs a large commercial roofing company and invests in restaurants and other real estate.

The property will undergo renovations for a new look and focus over approximately 30-60 days, with the revamped concept opening in the spring.
