Greenway Products & Services, a New Brunswick-based pallet manufacturer, has opened a new facility in Baltimore, its third in Maryland, it announced Tuesday.
The new facility supports the rapid growth in online shopping and related logistics in the mid-Atlantic region. The company supports logistics businesses in New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware and Maryland.
“The investments we have made in automation and the strong work ethic of our employees has enabled us to achieve the industry’s highest on-time delivery rate, of 98.9%,” President Dominick Davi said in a prepared statement.
The company said it is eligible for a number of Maryland tax credits for the facility.
“The new Baltimore facility includes two lines — a direct line for pallet repair and assembly, and a recovery line to preserve sturdy and reliable components from recycled pallets,” co-owner Anthony Fabrizio said in a statement.
