Mass. IT company buys Mount Laurel managed services firm

A Mount Laurel information technology services company has been acquired by a New England-based provider of “NextGen” managed services, it announced Thursday.

Thrive, which is based in Foxborough, Massachusetts, has added Apex IT Group, which serves companies in the greater Philadelphia area, it said in a news release. Apex IT Group delivers its managed IT services to small to midsized businesses.

Apex will now be a “founding staple” of Thrive’s mid-Atlantic region, which is overseen by Jason Shirdon, executive vice president and regional general manager.

“I’m very excited to welcome the Apex IT Group, their employees and customers to the Thrive family,” Thrive CEO Rob Stephenson said in prepared statement. “By bringing together our companies’ shared vision of technology innovation and a fervent dedications to IT service delivery, we’re providing a significant value proposition to Apex’s clients.”
