Investors Bank names Harmon, Wales to board of directors

Investors Bancorp Inc., the parent of Investors Bank, has named a pair of new directors: John Harmon, CEO of the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, and Kim Wales, founder and CEO of CrowdBureau Corp.

The Short Hills-based bank elected the two to its board on Jan. 26, adding them to the 2021 class of directors for both the bank and its holding company.

“John brings significant expertise in guiding and nurturing fast-growing, minority- and women-owned small businesses,” Investors Chairman and CEO Kevin Cummings said in a prepared statement. “His knowledge and insight forming strategic private- and public-sector alliances will add value to the boardroom as we continue to grow our banking franchise.

“Kim is a securities-based crowdfunding, P2P online lending and digital banking pioneer. Kim combines a deep understanding and practical knowledge about the financial transformation rapidly reshaping our industry here in the United States and around the world.”
