An Australian freight and logistics company has selected Orbcomm’s asset tracking solutions for its fleet, the Rochelle Park-based provider of Internet of Things solutions said this week.
Orbcomm will provide fleet monitoring products to Booth Transport for its tank containers, tankers and chassis, it said in a news release. The Orbcomm solutions will include hardware and a cloud-based analytics platform, the company added.
“We’re excited to work with Booth Transport, Australia’s top bulk food, container transport and logistics provider, to help them gain critical in-transit visibility and improve the productivity of their diverse fleet,” Christian Allred, Orbcomm’s senior vice president and general manage of global sales, said in a prepared statement. “With Orbcomm’s triple play offering, customers like Booth Transport can leverage the Orbcomm platform to streamline how they manage multiple asset types, reduce the complexity of their operations and take advantage of deep data insights to help their business run smarter.”
