Woodcliff Lake-based machine solutions company PowerFleet Inc. has signed a deal to provide a Texas-based dry van trucking company with its trailer management solution, it announced this week.
PowerFleet, which provides Internet of Things and machine-to-machine solutions primarily for the logistics industry, said McGuire Transportation is buying 350 of PowerFleet’s LV-300 asset tracking units, to equip its entire regional fleet.
“McGuire has built its reputation on its strong commitment to its customers and in leading the market in new technology adoption,” Mark Stanton, PowerFleet general manager for supply chain, said in a prepared statement. “We are equally committed to working closely with McGuire to identify ways to garner greater efficiencies as we deliver cutting-edge trailer management solutions that provide powerful insights into their fleet utilization while improving their customer service and enhancing their competitive advantage.”
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
