Walters opening first building at income-restricted community in Marlton

Walters, the Barnegat-based developer, is opening the first building at an income-restricted community in Marlton this month, it announced this week.

The 24-unit apartment building at 4 Executive Drive is part of the Cornerstone at Marlton community, the developer said in a news release. It is one of three buildings, totaling 64 units, planned for the project. Full completion is scheduled for early April, and applications for apartments are now being accepted.

“This is a sustainably designed community, offering families a safe, affordable, high-quality lifestyle,” Joseph Del Duca, Walters’ director of affordable housing, said in a prepared statement. “Residents also benefit from an array of modern amenities and convenient services.”

The development includes a mix of one- to three-bedroom layouts, with amenities including washers and dryers in every unit, as well as a clubhouse with fitness center and more. The development fills a need for income-restricted housing in Evesham Township, the developer noted.
