Boyden names doctor as new leader of its Americas health care and life sciences team

Boyden, a Princeton-based, international leadership and talent advisory firm, has named a new U.S. managing partner and leader of its health care and life sciences team in the Americas, it announced this week.

Dr. Gilbert J. Carrara Jr. will bring more than 30 years’ experience and a distinguished search career to the positions of managing partner, U.S., and Americas leader, health care and life sciences.

“We are delighted that Gil will further strengthen our services to clients in the United States and collaborate with exceptional sector colleagues around the world,” Boyden CEO and President Trina Gordon said in a prepared statement. “His professional medical background, search experience and business acumen are invaluable to our clients.”

Before joining the search sector, Carrara was medical director at an international pharmaceutical company.

“I am fortunate in spending my career with medical and scientific peers, which gives me insight into commercial imperatives and clinical developments on the horizon,” he said in a statement. “As a physician, the perspectives I share at Boyden are based on both the needs of our industry and its patients.”

Carrara has his M.D. from Ross University School of Medicine and a bachelor’s degree from Drew University in Madison.
