World Insurance Associates, a Top 100 Insurance brokerage firm in Tinton Falls, announced this week that it has acquired Szerlip & Co. of Millburn and LCL Insurance of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
Szerlip & Co. is a third-generation agency focused on personal, commercial, security and other insurance. Robert Szerlip has been CEO and president since 1971.
“We are pleased to welcome Szerlip & Co. to the World family,” co-founder and CEO Rich Eknoian said in a prepared statement. “Szerlip & Co. provides individuals and businesses with superior service and extraordinary insurance knowledge, and we look forward to their continued success as part of WIA.”
In addition, Eknoian said his firm is eager to build his business in the Charlotte area.
“We are pleased to have LCL Insurance lead us into North Carolina,” he said. “LCL has a history of providing solutions for clients with diverse insurance exposures, and we know they will continue to flourish as part of WIA.”
