A parcel of land in Kearny has been acquired, with the goal of constructing a 160,000-square-foot distribution center, according to real estate firm CBRE.
The 10 acres along Lincoln Highway, formerly home to the Talbot Hall Rehabilitation Center, was acquired by Link Industrial, the real estate firm said in a news release. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The distribution center project would be ready for occupancy at the end of 2022, CBRE noted.
The firm’s Bill Waxman and Kevin Dudley, with Dudley Ryan, marketed the site and negotiated the sale on behalf of the seller.
“This location is phenomenal for any company that utilizes the ports or is a last-mile/last-touch servicing the tri-state area,” Waxman said in a news release. “The adaptive reuse of a former office and rehab facility is further proof of the continuing demand for land and sites to service the growing needs of the logistics community in our area.”
