A Berkeley Heights-based maker of pool equipment and systems is moving to North Carolina, it announced this week.
Hayward Holdings Inc. said it currently employs about 90 in the Garden State. It said it is now moving its senior leadership team, human resources, sales leadership, finance and other strategic functions to Charlotte. In addition, a number of corporate operational jobs will move to an existing production facility in Clemmons, North Carolina, where it already employs 850 people.
“This is an important strategic next step for Hayward to create greater synergies and crossfunctional collaboration to improve decision-making, cycle time and customer service,” CEO Kevin Holleran said in a prepared statement. “It will also result in long-term cost savings that will be redeployed back into the business, put us closer to our largest production facility and create easier access to connect with our customers, distributors and channel partners.”
The relocation will begin this summer and be completed by spring 2022, the company said.
