An optical retailer is under new ownership and has a new lease at Somerset Shopping Center in Bridgewater to go along, according to real estate firm Levin Management Corp.
LMC said Pearle Vision has been located at the center since 1997, recently signing a new 2,000-square-foot lease. North Plainfield-based LMC’s Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty, senior leasing representative, worked on the deal.
“Shoppers have long appreciated the presence of Pearl Vision at Somerset Shopping Center, and this quality optical retailer will continue to provide outstanding care for consumers under its new ownership,” Fernandez-Kelty said in a prepared statement. “Health care concepts that combine medical use with a retail component, as is the case with Pearle Vision, are excellent traffic drivers and contribute significantly to a retail property’s overall ‘destination’ appeal.”
David Townes of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant, franchisee Optical Group of NJ LLC, in the transaction.
LMC is the exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 219,000-square-foot property at the junction of routes 202/206 and 28.
