Burd to be honored by NAIOP with Industry Service Award

Josh Burd, who covers his beat as well as any reporter in the state, will be honored by NAIOP New Jersey with its Industry Service Award during its annual gala this fall.

Burd, the editor of Real Estate New Jersey, a publication he helped found five years ago, is well-known and highly regarded for his work ethic, attention to detail and fair and complete coverage of the commercial real estate industry. Others know him as a huge New York Mets fan.

And, full disclosure, he is a former colleague of the staff at ROI-NJ.

Mike McGuiness, the longtime CEO of the New Jersey chapter of NAIOP, said the group is pleased to be able to honor Burd.

“Josh Burd has made Real Estate NJ the CRE industry’s must-read publication since the first issue debuted five years ago … and it’s hard to imagine what we ever did without it,” he said. “From engaging features on market trends and public policy to revealing interviews with industry thought leaders, Josh writes the stories we need and want to read, and won’t find elsewhere.”

The annual NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Gala will be held Oct. 7 at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset.
