Bowman, Richardson added to D&I Council at NJBIA

Rodric Bowman with the American Red Cross and Claude Richardson with Delta Dental of New Jersey have been added as co-chairs to the Diversity & Inclusion Council of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association, the group announced Thursday.

Bowman serves as regional disaster officer with the American Red Cross, while Richardson is a senior vice president of human resources at Delta Dental of New Jersey.

They join fellow co-chairs Rina Desai, director of financial planning at Panasonic North America, and Shy Hopkins, marketing program director of the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers and owner of Ahmani Hopkins LLC.

NJBIA CEO Michele Siekerka welcomed Bowman and Richardson.

“We are thrilled to have Rodric and Claude on our D&I Council, and we value the input they bring to the table,” she said. “We are very fortunate to have this insightful and talented group as we continue to convene best-practice discussions and develop strategies to create more inclusive and respectful workplaces.”

On March 31-April 1, NJBIA hosted its first Diversion & Inclusion Summit, with more than 140 registrants joining for a two-day exchange of ideas and resources to increase or improve inclusivity in the workplace.

NJBIA will host its next two D&I meetings on May 13 and July 14.

NJBIA members who are interested in joining the association’s D&I Council, or its Women Business Leaders Council, Human Resource Council and/or Not-for-Profit Council, can go to njbia.org/councils.
