A child care and education center has signed a sublease in Hoboken, bringing its second location to the city, according to real estate firm CBRE.
Lightbridge Academy, which provides early childhood education, day care and development services, signed for 13,000 square feet at 1414-1418 Willow Ave., its 40th site in New Jersey.
“With more than 3,000 children in Hoboken under the age of 4 years old, the demand for child care is growing, and Lightbridge Academy required additional space for its second location in the neighborhood,” Nannola said in a prepared statement. “The day care center is a well-known and respected New Jersey child care provider, meeting the needs of the community. These services will continue to be highly sought-after as the population grows and families nest longer in urban markets before migrating to the suburbs.”
CBRE’s Joseph AmecAngelo and Nicole Nannola negotiated the lease on behalf of the tenant. The space had been occupied by a Battaglia’s Home store.
“Lightbridge has made a concise effort to expand into urban markets over the past few years,” David Falzarano, senior vice president of development for Lightbridge Franchise Co., said in a statement. “In working with CBRE, we are now starting to see the fruits of that labor, with a handful more centers expected to open throughout the remainder of 2021.”
