Accounting and advisory firm Grassi & Co., which already has a major office in Park Ridge, is growing its New Jersey presence through the acquisition of a full-service tax and accounting firm, it announced Wednesday.
The deal for Gramkow, Carnevale, Seifert & Co., which takes effect Thursday, will add four partners to Grassi’s leadership team in the state, the firm said in a news release. They are:
- Ted Carnevale, who was named co-leader of the New Jersey market;
- Francis Shovlin;
- Dino Rizzo; and
- Bob Carpenter.
“For the past 37 years, we have had the privilege of serving the businesses and residents of New Jersey and growing alongside them,” Carnevale, GCS’ founder, said in a prepared statement. “As our clients continue to grow and evolve, joining a regional leader like Grassi was a natural choice in our ongoing mission to provide them with the expanded resources and services they need to succeed.”
The new partners and 25 staff members will continue to serve clients from the current location in Oradell before transitioning to the Park Ridge office later in the year.
“Helping businesses grow in New Jersey and throughout the tri-state area has always been a priority for our firm,” Louis C. Grassi, Grassi’s managing partner, said in a statement. “The addition of such an established and reputable New Jersey firm to our team not only deepens the pool of talent and experience we can provide, but also demonstrates our unwavering commitment to the state’s business community and vital industries.”
Grassi has seven offices, including in four in New York state, plus one each in Massachusetts and Florida.
