Hudson announces second no-line ‘Nonstop’ store

Hudson, the East Rutherford-based travel retailer known for its airport shops, announced it is opening its second Hudson Nonstop store, powered by Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology and enabling shoppers to skip checkout lines at Chicago Midway International Airport.

The new store, which will open midyear, follows the first concept, opened recently at Dallas Love Field Airport. Travelers at the shops can enter with a credit card, pick out their items and then leave, without waiting in lines or paying in-store.

“Hudson Nonstop is really all about the traveler — delivering what they want and how they want it,” Brian Quinn, executive vice president and chief operating officer, said in a prepared statement. “Our first store is proving that travelers are embracing this innovative new concept, and, so, we’re thrilled to announce our second location opening mid-2021.”
