Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center has acquired a pair of Immedicenter urgent care centers, located in Bloomfield and Clifton, it announced recently.
Mountainside said the acquisition solidifies a longstanding relationship between the hospital and Immedicenter, which provides immediate care for injuries and acute illness, as well as primary and chronic care services.
“I have been on the Mountainside Medical Center staff for over 30 years,” Dr. Michael Basista, Immedicenter’s medical director, said in a prepared statement. “It is a first-class institution, and I have close relationships with many of the doctors at the hospital. Integrating with Mountainside will allow Immedicenter to offer improved continuity of care and a seamless patient experience.
The offices — at 557 Broad St., Bloomfield, and 1355 Broad St., Clifton — will be renamed Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Immedicenter, and Basista will remain their medical director.
“We are pleased to build upon our partnership with the well-respected providers at Immedicenter,” Mountainside CEO Tim O’Brien said in a statement. “Together, we look forward to continuing to provide our community with the highest quality of urgent and primary care.”
