Community development veteran Jorge Cruz has changed jobs, moving from New Jersey Community Capital to LISC Greater Newark, the local arm of Local Initiatives Support Corp. said this week.
Cruz, who had been chief external affairs officer with NJCC, will now serve as executive director of LISC Greater Newark, aiming to expand local investments in affordable housing, economic development and more.
“We are thrilled to have Jorge join the LISC family and lead our work in Newark,” Lisa Glover, LISC CEO and president, said in a prepared statement. “His experience will be a tremendous asset as we expand our efforts to create economic opportunity, especially in underresourced communities.”
