Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss, says founder is leaving executive director’s role

Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss, is seeking a new executive director, the nonprofit said this week, as founder Mary Robinson transitions to a new role with the organization.

Robinson, a 2019 CNN Hero for her work with the organization that provides support to grieving children, teens and families, will dedicate her time to outreach, education, writing and speaking, fundraising and more.

“There are natural lifecycles for nonprofit organizations like Imagine,” she said in a prepared statement. “This is the right time for me to make this transition and for Imagine to hire an executive director to lead Imagine to the next place.”

Richard Szeto, a veteran investment banker, longtime volunteer and consultant to Imagine, will serve as interim executive director, overseeing operations through the transition.
