A 25,000-square-foot corporate headquarters buildout in Elmwood Park for BioReference Laboratories is nearly complete, Accordia Realty Ventures officials said this week.
It’s part of a leasing spree for Fairfield-based Accordia, which recently has completed multiple transactions totaling almost 60,000 square feet at River Drive I and II.
Accordia Principal Joe Romano said the transactions show promise for the office class.
“Despite market headwinds, and dire predictions for post-COVID office leasing, these properties, because of management and ownership investment, continue to attract tenants who want to be in well-located, well-maintained buildings,” Romano said.
At River Drive I, a 114,825-square-foot, Class A office building, Romano said Accordia is finishing construction of the headquarters for BioReference, the largest full-service specialty laboratory in the country. BioReference hopes to move in by the end of the month.
The law firm of John Onal & Associates already has leased 6,000 square feet of space.
At River Drive II, an 84,069-square-foot, Class A office building, Romano said Accordia has signed a lease extension on its existing 20,719 square feet with Keyence and that Pennsylvania-based Stevens & Lee is adding 5,000 square feet to the 7,100-square-foot lease it signed in December.
