Burlington Stores replaces Sports Authority in Secaucus retail center

Burlington Stores has opened a retail location at a Secaucus center, according to real estate firm Levin Management Corp.

North Plainfield-based LMC said in a news release that the Burlington-based off-price retailer occupies a big-box space formerly filled by Sports Authority at the Mill Creek at Harmon Meadow center.

“Off-price brands are among the strongest subsectors in retailing today,” Sidney Singer, vice president of leasing, said in a prepared statement. “Burlington is a quality addition to Mill Creek’s tenant lineup, which also includes Kohl’s, T.J. Maxx and Bob’s Discount Furniture.”

Singer arranged the lease transaction on behalf of the property owner, an institutional client of New York Life Real Estate Investors.
