Bertha Robinson, owner of Star One Professional Services in Somerset, has been elected the new president of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners, the group announced this week.
Robinson, who served as president-elect last year, will take over July 1.
“I have served actively on the NJAWBO board for several years, and am grateful and honored to be elected president of such a wonderful statewide organization of women business owners,” she said.
“The NJAWBO voting members have placed their faith in me, and, with support of the new board, NJAWBO will continue to support and encourage business ownership by women. I look forward to NJAWBO’s future.”
Established in 1978, the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners is the longest-standing statewide organization of women business owners in New Jersey. Its primary objective is to encourage and support business ownership by women, provide a legislative voice for the interests of women-owned businesses, and offer leadership, professional development and networking opportunities for business owners.
The following business owners will serve with Robinson on the executive committee:
- Secretary: Laurel Bernstein, Laurel Bernstein & Associates, Bloomfield;
- Treasurer: Melanie Blau McDonald, Strategic Receivables, Bergenfield;
- Vice president of administration: Laura Graziano, Laura E. Graziano, Wayne;
- VP of corporate relations: Rosanna Imbriano, R.I. Consulting, Cedar Grove;
- VP of marketing: Cecelia Henderson, WSI Marketing Edge, Wayne;
- VP of membership: Andrea Pass, Andrea Pass Public Relations, Fair Lawn;
- VP of programming/events: Donna Thompson, Woodpecker Press, Livingston;
- Nominations chair: Taryn Abrahams, Empower Corporate Behavioral Services, Cedar Grove;
