A fast-casual restaurant, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, will open its first location in New Jersey this month in Linden, according to real estate firm CBRE.
The firm said in a news release that Freddy’s, based in Kansas, has signed a pad lease for a 3,200-square-foot building and double drive-thru at Legacy Square, a new open-air shopping center at 1000 W. Edgar Road.
A CBRE retail team of Steven Winters, Mike Horne and Nicole Nannola represented the restaurant’s northern New Jersey franchisee in the transaction.
Legacy Square is located along Route 1/9 where a former General Motors plant once stood. The property was developed by Cypress Development.
