Cognizant, the Teaneck-based professional services company, has agreed to acquire an Ireland-based industrial data and intelligence company, it announced Tuesday.
The deal for TQS Integration will help Cognizant grow its smart manufacturing offerings for clients, it said in a news release. By combining TQS’ data intelligence capabilities with Cognizant’s core competencies, manufacturers will be able to make smarter decisions, improve operating costs and more.
“TQS enhances Cognizant’s end-to-end smart factory capabilities, helping clients realize information and operational technology convergence and drive digital transformation in their manufacturing operations,” Srinivas Shankar, senior vice president and global markets lead, life sciences, for Cognizant, said in a prepared statement. “With TQS, Cognizant not only becomes one of the industry’s most comprehensive solutions for Manufacturing 4.0 for life sciences, we also strengthen our data historian and analytics capabilities to help all our manufacturing clients harness the power of data intelligence to compete in new ways.”
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter, pending customary conditions and approvals.
