Morristown Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center both had three adult specialties rank among the Top 50 nationally in the prestigious U.S. News & World Report hospital rankings that were released Tuesday morning.
These Top 50 rankings are a key factor in the overall ranking of the hospital — and helped both share the No. 1 spot in New Jersey.
And, while they were the only New Jersey hospitals to achieve such a Top 50 ranking, they were just two of six hospitals that were cited as having “high performing” adult specialty rankings.
The state did particularly well in orthopedics (one Top 50, three high performing), Urology (one Top 50, three high performing) and gastroenterology & GI surgery (four high performing)
