Somerset-based information technology solutions company SHI International has set a record in the first half of the year with $5.5 billion in revenue, it announced this week.
The company said the figure represented 5% growth year-over-year, fueled in part by a strong June that saw revenue rise 15% year-over-year, to record levels.
“To be on pace for another record-breaking year is a testament to the value customers see in our solutions and the relationship they enjoy with the SHI employees who deliver those solutions,” CEO and President Thai Lee said in a prepared statement. “As we continue to expand both domestically and internationally, we see growing demand for professional service solutions that support ambitious digital transformation initiatives.”
The Professional Services division led the way in the first half of the year, with more than 25% growth year-over-year, while the security vertical was the top growth sector, up more than 16% year-over-year amid increasing cyberthreats and work-from-home needs.
Another highlight from June was the opening of an office in Sydney, as the company sought to move closer to its customers in Australia and New Zealand.
