ProSight Specialty Insurance Group Inc., a Morristown-based specialty insurance company, has named a new president, it announced this week.
Tim Ryan will take on the role, effective Aug. 27, succeeding co-founder Larry Hannon, who will remain an adviser to the CEO, Jonathan Ritz. In his new role, Ryan will report to Ritz and oversee ProSight’s new product verticals and build upon its existing niche business, the company said.
“Tim has a proven track record enhancing specialty insurance products, building high-performance teams, servicing customers and delivering profitable results,” Ritz said in a prepared statement. “I’m confident our customers will benefit immensely from Tim’s background, expertise, vision and strategic direction.”
Ryan has more than 25 years of insurance underwriting experience, most recently as head of wholesale business at Navigators, a brand of the Hartford.
“I’m thrilled to be joining ProSight,” he said in a statement. “This is a great opportunity to build upon the success already achieved by this organization and diversify its insurance capabilities to better serve the needs of our customers.”
