NJM Insurance Group continued its growth in the mid-Atlantic region Wednesday when it announced it is now offering personal and business insurance in Maryland and business insurance in Delaware.
The announcement is another example of how the West Trenton-based insurer is growing its presence in the region — an effort that began in 2018. The company entered the Maryland and Delaware workers’ compensation markets in 2018.
In addition to New Jersey, the company now offers personal insurance (including auto and home) in Connecticut, Maryland, Ohio and Pennsylvania. NJM offers business insurance in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New York and Pennsylvania.
About NJM
NJM Insurance Group, founded in 1913, is among the mid-Atlantic’s leading property and casualty insurers. The company, which operates in a mutual fashion for the exclusive benefit of its policyholders, is headquartered in West Trenton and employs nearly 2,500.
“The expansion furthers NJM’s strategic vision to become a true regional insurance provider,” CEO Mitch Livingston said in a release.
Maryland residents can now apply for the company’s auto, homeowners, condo and personal umbrella insurance policies. Workers’ compensation, commercial auto, commercial general liability, businessowners policy and commercial excess and umbrella insurance are now available to Delaware and Maryland business owners.
NJM was recently named No. 1 for customer satisfaction among auto insurers in the mid-Atlantic region by J.D. Power, based solely on policyholder feedback. Additionally, NJM also ranked second in a national “Best Car Insurance Companies” study conducted by a national consumer publication. Both rankings were based solely on policyholder feedback.
