Property management firm names former Monmouth hoops coach its VP of sales for East region

Property management company FirstService Residential appointed a new vice president of sales for the East region.

Eatontown-based FirstService promoted David Calloway, a former regional director for the company, to oversee business development in the region that spans from Rhode Island to South Carolina, FirstService said in a news release.

“This announcement further cements our position as the industry leader,” FirstService President Michael Mendillo said. “Dave has a proven history of leading many winning teams to victory, and possesses the leadership skills, drive for success and vast experience in growing a team.”

Calloway joined FirstService in 2016 as a business development director for the company’s New Jersey and Pennsylvania high-rise division before transitioning to operations as a regional director.

Prior to joining FirstService, Calloway was head men’s basketball coach of the Monmouth University Hawks for 13 years and led the team to three NCAA Tournament appearances, FirstService said. He was named NEC Coach of the Year in 2001 and inducted into Monmouth University’s Hall of Fame in 2018.

“I am thrilled to accept this position. I will have the opportunity to use my previous experience in sales, along with my years of operational expertise, to help lead our business development team to success,” Calloway said. “I look forward to providing oversight, strategy and implementation of our sales approach to the team.”
