R.J. Brunelli picked as exclusive leasing agent for Toms River retail center

R.J. Brunelli & Co., the real estate brokerage based in Old Bridge, has been chosen as the exclusive leasing agent for a 12,600-square-foot retail center in Toms River.

The property, a 1.7-acre site at 1882 Hooper Ave., is being developed by Wayne-based March Construction, the firm said in a news release. March broke ground on the site in mid-September, and it can be subdivided or developed for a single tenant.

“This easily accessible site offers high visibility on the ‘going-home’ side of Hooper Ave., a four-lane highway which delivers a daily traffic count exceeding 38,200,” said project manager Mario Brunelli, a vice president and principal at R.J. Brunelli.

March Construction expects the property, which adjoins a freestanding Walgreens, will be ready for tenants to begin store buildouts by March 2022, R.J. Brunelli said.

“Beyond the residential component, as the Ocean County seat, Toms River provides this site with a robust daytime population of 7,182 within a mile and 51,607 within three miles,” Brunelli said. “These figures include employees and students at Ocean County College, which is just 1.5 miles away, and such other major employers as the county government, Meridian Health Systems and the Toms River Regional School District.”
