AKCG – Public Relations Counselors has promoted an executive to lead and expand its crisis communications practice, it announced recently.
The Glassboro-based PR firm said in a news release that Thomas Logue will serve as director of crisis communications, to help it reshape and strengthen its capabilities in that area. The firm also hired two new associates for the team: Bianca Butler and Alyssa Cosio.
“These moves help set a clear course for the vision and future of our highly specialized crisis and issues practice,” CEO Christopher Lukach said in a prepared statement. “We’re not only adding more arms and legs to the practice, but also sharpening the way in which we think about, serve and counsel our clients.”
Logue has been with AKCG since 2017 in a variety of roles. In his new post, he will oversee the crisis and issues management team, support strategic planning and development of the practice, and counsel clients in sensitive and pivotal moments, AKCG said.
Butler and Cosio will work with the firm’s team of crisis counselors to support reputation management work for clients. They both had been interns before their hire.
