RWJBarnabas Health was honored by Garden State Equality with the Corporate Responsibility Award at the recent Equality Ball.
The award was based on the system’s commitment to providing culturally sensitive, compassionate and inclusive care for the LGBTQ community through ongoing initiatives.
Trina Parks, the chief diversity and inclusion officer at RWJBH, and Babs Siperstein, of RWJUH Somerset’s PROUD Center, accepted the honor.
“This is a great honor for RWJBH and solidifies our position as being a leader in LGBTQ care within the great state of New Jersey,” Parks said.
“Garden State Equality, which is the largest LGBTQ advocacy organization in New Jersey, has been a longstanding, valued partner of RWJBH, and this award recognizes the diversity, equity and inclusion work that is currently done in the system to advance care and services for the LGBTQ community which we continue to serve.”
