A family-owned bakery has signed a lease to open its third location, at a Newark shopping center, according to real estate firm JLL.
Zaro’s Family Bakery has signed a 10-year lease for 2,285 square feet at the Shoppes on Broad, at 635 Broad St., the real estate firm said in a news release.
Marta Villa, senior vice president, represented the landlord in the transaction.
“Despite complications and delays caused by the pandemic, Newark residents, workers and visitors will now be able to enjoy the products of this beloved family-owned bakery,” Villa said in a prepared statement. “This transaction demonstrates the enduring appeal of this high-traffic location.”
The Shoppes on Broad is a 50,000-square-foot Class A mixed-use retail center. Zaro’s, founded in 1927 in the Bronx, New York, has 11 stores in the New York metropolitan area.
