Lab-ready life sciences facility in Jersey City gets new tenant in RWJBH

The lab-ready life sciences property in Jersey City, 95 Greene, has a new tenant, as RWJBarnabas Health and its Jersey City Medical Center signed a long-term lease, real estate firm JLL and developer Thor Equities Group said recently.

The real estate firm said in a news release that RWJBH signed for 11,235 square feet of ground-floor retail space with a dedicated entrance.

JLL’s Dan Loughlin, vice chairman; Dan Spero, senior managing director; Bob Ryan and Craig Eisenhardt, managing directors; Blake Goodman, executive vice president; and John Cahill, senior vice president, are serving as exclusive leasing agents for the property.

The eight-story, 350,000-square-foot building is a former Colgate Palmolive toothpaste factory and Class A office property. Thor bought the property in March 2020 and overhauled it to create the life sciences facility.

“We are very pleased to welcome RWJBarnabas/JCMC to their new home at 95 Greene St.,” Thor Executive Vice President Jack J. Sitt said in a prepared statement. “We are proud of our work at this development and are committed to providing organizations with state-of-the-art spaces to practice medicine and advance life sciences. 95 Greene benefits from powerful building infrastructure, and we look forward to welcoming additional tenants to this trophy asset.”
