The global pandemic has brought more than just an appreciation for health care around the world: It has brought an appreciation for the people who provide us with health care. Simply put, our perception of the sector has changed.
Years ago, the health care sector would say it was one-sixth of the economy in an effort to show its significance. Since the pandemic started, we’ve come to learn that the sector is 100% of our daily concern — and will be for the foreseeable future.
It’s for this reason that we took special care to deliver the 2021 ROI Influencers: Health Care list. It’s a mix of those leading some of the world’s most important companies and those running some of the state’s most important hospitals and health systems.
