Campbell’s names new chief HR officer

Campbell Soup Co. has named a new chief human resources officer, it announced this week.

Diane Johnson May will become executive vice president and CHRO of the company as of Nov. 1, replacing Xavier Boza. Boza left the company for a new opportunity.

In her new role, Johnson May will lead Campbell’s HR functions, including talent acquisition and management, organizational effectiveness, compensation and benefits, and inclusion and diversity, the Camden-based food company said in a news release.

She will report to CEO and President Mark Clouse, and serve as both a member of the leadership team and a corporate officer.

“Our success starts with our people and our culture,” Clouse said in a prepared statement. “Diane’s extensive food industry experience and leadership skills will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our culture, attract and retain top talent, and unlock our full growth potential.

Johnson May most recently was senior vice president, people and culture, North America, for ManpowerGroup, a global workforce solutions company. She had spent 35 years with Kraft Foods in several key leadership roles, among other positions in her career.
